If you DONT like Back to the Future....come in
I was just having this conversation with someone and was interested in what other people who DONT like BTTF think.
It is my all-time favorite movie, as it is one of my best friends. We were talking to someone who doesnt like it.
I CANNOT wrap my head around it. CANNOT. If you DONT like it, why?
For me, it is the perfect movie, comedy, action, adventure, a brilliant script, an amazing cast, a timeless story. What is NOT to love.
If you didnt like it, what about it didnt you like?

i've seen the movie a few times. i wouldn't say it's my favorite.
why?
it's kind of boring. it's a cute story, but it's not that good. i find myself asking, when will it be over at certain points. i also think it's overacted. BIFF especially! i guess i don't buy into the whole transformation at the end. Really? because some guy bullied you in high school you became a nothing? but one punch to the face changed it all??? not seeing it.
that said, DS LOVES it! so we have been watching it almost once a week. It was his birthday present this year and he was soo excited about it.

I'm coming in just to say I don't think I trust anyone who doesn't like it. It's such a fun movie and I probably quote it weekly. It's far from my favorite but I have nothing bad to say about it.

I have never seen the whole thing {hangs head in shame}. No, but seriously, the parts I've watched were ok, but it's not even on my fave movie radar.
But, what the heck do I know-my all time fave movie is Halloween

It's okay. I saw it as a kid, I've seen parts here and there over the years but it's not something I'd go out of my way to watch. Just not my type of movie in general.

I have never met anyone in my life who didn't at least like it somewhat.
I don't know how I'd feel about a person who does not like it.  I don't understand how a person could not like at least the first two.
I have the box set and some of the Lego BTTF stuff and send my DH links to DeLoreans pretty much every week. So maybe people who feel differently have hid it from me all these years.

I'm in my 30's so I think I should have seen it but I can only remember seeing bits and pieces if that. It doesn't really interest me at all. If I saw it on tv no way would I sit through it.
Also, is it a kid's movie?

I think i enjoyed it at the time I first saw it- as a kid or teenager.
I don't think I'd sit through it now though if I saw it on.
Maybe bits and pieces but not the whole movie.
My tastes have changed.

I love it (even #3!), but I think maybe you had to see it in the 80s?
I think seeing it for the first time now it might come off as cheesy.

It is rated PG (and it was released after they started PG 13)
I saw it in the theater with my family when I was 9 & my brother was 11. It probably wouldn't hold the interest of kids younger than about 8.
I think my dad enjoyed it, but he has a goofy sense of humor & also liked all the 50s references.
If you are in your earlier 30s, you probably would have been too young to see it in the theater (it came out in '85).

It's not that I hate it, it just does nothing for me. I find Doc to be annoying and Biff is so stereotypical it's past the point of funny to 
I have seen them all and the first one is the only one I would bother to watch again. Even then... it would have to be the only thing on LOL.
