How long to get busing set up?
We had our district meeting on 12/17 and went to a visit a school that day. Signed paperwork for my twins to enroll. 1/2 day program 1:30-4. School said bus company would call me but it takes a few days. I called the school today and they said they checked the system and the bus company was notified by them on 12/19. I know it takes time and everything was/is closed for the holiday.
I really would like them to start on 1/5 right after the break. The school said I should hear from the bus company this week but may even be Friday or Saturday. Just hate this limbo.

Busing should be set up by this week. I would call on Wednesday and then again every day until you get your bus route.

Re: How long to get busing set up?
So I called the bus company today and what a bunch of morons. First of all, they put me on hold twice and I could barely understand what they were even saying. Finally someone says the computers are down and to call back later.
Called back this afternoon and by some miracle someone who actually knows something picked up. He asked for the last name and I gave it and said yes, there's 2 (I have twins), gave me their first names and the address they are being picked up/dropped off (my in-laws) and the times. Looks like they will only be on the bus about 30 minutes which I'm thankful for.
I asked him how many kids are on their bus and he said 12 including them and I just wanted to check and make sure there was a matron to buckle them in the seats and he said yes of course. I didn't realize the little bus could have that many kids.
What if I never called today? Was the bus just going to show up Monday and we would guess when it would come? Just boggles my mind.
I am very nervous. They're only 3. One is switching schools and one never went (he screamed so much we couldn't send him-school kept calling me to pick him up). I am nervous they will be scared. They are not that verbal to express their feelings. School is 1:30-4. I'm going to work a 1/2 day and help get them on the bus and follow the bus. I'll prob just check in to make sure they're ok once settled in their classes they are ok. I sound like a nutty mama, don't I?
