Extra Meds ??
Hello everyone
I maxed out my insurance and was just told I need to pay 10 grand for Gonal 1050 ? Anyone have extras ???

What dose are you on? That sounds like a lot for one cycle.
Maybe order less and get more as you go?

Extra Meds ??
Gonal F from Freedom fertility is $1064 a vial. I don't recall how many I went through. Maybe 2 or 3 . They tend to order more than you'll actually use so you can always order 1 and keep checking your RE for more.

if you order the 600iu multivials you get over 900iu in each vial. also if buying from Europe is an option its way cheaper

I have menopour up for grabs boxes says it expires jan2015. Someone would just have to pick up either in westbury or Farmingdale.

What is your dosage? I don't understand why you need this much Gonal. Dosages max out at 450iu, which means you're buying meds for 12 days of stims when most docs aim for 10. Obviously it could go that long, but most ppl under financial strain would buy as they go to avoid buying unnecessary medication.
And why in the world do you need 25 vials of Meno in addition to all that Gonal?? Again, that would mean that you're stocking for 12 days of stims on max doses.
Is this your first IVF?

This is what he's done for the first 2 ivfs I used 6 gonal at 450 iu each day and menopur. Guess every dr follows diff protocol

Ask your Dr office . I had just donated my Gonal from my last cycle to ther office for someone who didn't have coverage . People donate if either they don't need anymore or it is close to expiring.

where did someone say they bought from Europe? a friend of mine did this too when she was TTC her DS but she can't remember the website because it was years ago.
I already maxed out my $5k prescription coverage this year. I paid out of pocket for the rest for this cycle but if this doesn't work then that is it for us. We'll have to wait until next January to try again, if we decide to go that route.
If anyone has any up for grabs that they are willing to let go of, please let me know!
