Returning uggs

My mil got me a pair of uggs for Christmas

Very nice of her but I already have a grey and a black pair (she got another black)

I would like to return but don't want to ask her where she got them because I feel bad

Would a dept store like Macy's take them back?

Macy's doesn't sell UGGs so you wouldn't be able to return them there. Bloomingdale's does. So you should be able to return there for a store credit.

I believe that you would have to return to the store where they were purchased. Stores have their own SKUs and labels.

You'd have to return them where she got them or try Nordstrom. Maybe since you plan to exchange and not return you'll have a better shot. Otherwise, tell your MIL that they are damaged or don't fit quite right and you want to exchange for a new pair.

I would just tell her they don't fit right and you want to return for a different pair. I'm sure she'd rather you get something that fits right.

same thing happened to me. i just filled out a Return Authorization form on ugg.com, they sent me the label, and i mailed them back for a credit to ugg. wound up buying something else :)
