Essential oils for migraines?
Does anyone use peppermint oil or any other oil for migraines? Looking for relief in a more natural way.

Re: Essential oils for migraines?
I found that if I used peppermint oil at the first hint of a migraine, it helps to ward it off. However, once a migraine set in, peppermint oil did not work for me. I know it works for others, so you may want to give it a shot.

Can I ask how you used it? Rub into the temples? Do you use a carrier like coconut oil or apply the oil right to the skin?

Essential oils for migraines?
Essential oils do not help me. They often increase my nausea. I have found 1000mg of magnesium a day helps to decrease the frequency of my migraines. I also find guided meditation helps especially during a migraine.

Re: Essential oils for migraines?
Magnesium suppliments have definitely reduced the frequency and severity of my migranes. Also if I am getting one I pop 500 mg of magnesium and it definitely reduces the severity and duration. Also I recommend a daily CoQ10 supplement. Lots of research on that being helpful as well.

Re: Essential oils for migraines?
Essential oils do nothing for me. I take Magnesium, Feverfew & vitamin B2 daily to prevent. At onset, I take Lipigesic M. Look it up on Amazon. It's natural & it works!!! I have Rx meds as well, but these are my natural alternatives. Good Luck!
