Why is this so hard to find?
Old navy used to have a good online selection but not anymore. Motherhood has a very limited selection too.
I need a dress to wear to a cocktail type party and I need comfortable pants!

Not sure where you live but Macys in Massapequa has a nice range of sizes. Also Destination Maternity.

I started compiling a list - I'm sure some of these are outdated but it would be nice to keep a running list.
Motherhood Outlets - Tanger Destination Maternity - Carle Place Not Your Daughters Jeans (Tanger) *expensive
Online:
Asos Avenue Destination Maternity JC penny Kohls Nydj Old Navy Onestopplus Sears Torrid
When I was in Lane Bryant they suggested I try Catherine's if I can't find maternity clothes. Their stuff supposedly runs a bit larger.

I got a lot of good stuff from old navy online. Maybe they just don't have what you are looking for. Try the kohls website or destination maternity for something a little more fancy

Re: Plus size maternity
I did really well at Destination Maternity, believe it or not in their clearance sections (I was a 18/20 pre-pregnancy, and easily bigger on top because of my boobs).

JCPenney and Kohls -- both online.
For my shower, I just got a regular dress in a larger size.

I've gotten all my maternity clothes from Destination Maternity and think I've only paid full price for my jeans -- I really only buy things off their clearance section when possible, and shop there when they have sales/coupon codes, which I feel like is quite often. I just stocked up on a bunch of stuff yesterday -- they were having a "final push" sale -- everything on their clearance was an additional 40% off and I had a coupon. I got 4 shirts and a zip up hoodie for $65. Now that I know what sizes I wear there, I always check out their outlet on their website -- so far everything has fit and I haven't had to return anything. Some stuff on the outlet is as little as $10-$15.

Great list! Thanks!! I'm TTC Baby #2, but this list will come in handy when it happens.
JCPenney online had GREAT stuff when I was preggo in 2011... I hope they're still as good because I wouldn't even know what else to do!
I never understood why Lane Bryant wouldn't have a maternity line. I heard they used to, but not recently. Their demographic is aimed at younger women and women in their child-bearing years... wouldn't it be natural to carry maternity clothing??
