This storm is something to take serious

I know I haven't posted here in a long time under my real login and not my vendor login. In fact, I'm not sure I have posted here about weather since Sandy. So this is when you know that things are serious.

Are we going to die? No. Be smart.

Is a lot of snow coming? Yes. In fact, a crapload of snow.

Kelly, I've dealt with snow before, so why is this even worse? It's too much snow and way too much wind! This storm will go down in history.

They are contemplating closing down the LIE and LIRR before the evening commute. Heck, the Mayor has already said NYC schools will probably be closed on Tuesday.

Will my schools close early? When does it all start? Will my flight make it out? Will I make it from Westchester to Montauk at 3pm if I have 4 wheel drive and a Guardian Angel statue on my dashboard? Chat Icon

This storm is serious. Stay off the roads if you can. No meteorologist can tell you to have common sense. God bless you all! Be safe!

The National Weather Service states:
"...STORM TO HURRICANE FORCE CONDITIONS WITH STRONG NOR`EASTER
LATE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY MORNING..."

Have you ever met a hurricane with snow?

I just want to say everyone stay safe. Stay in if you can. Dont drive if you dont need to. And dont bring your kids out if you dont absolutely need to.
Charge up phones.
Have flashlights and candles and batteries
Get radios
Generators and gas in cars
Gas for snowblowers
Get food

Do everything you can to prepare and please take it seriously
If your on your own maybe consider staying family so your not alone. Most important is stay safe. :)

Welcome back. If you decided to come back with this name, it is much more serious snow event than I thought. Stay safe everyone, stay inside, warm and dry. This sounds like it will be a big one.

My mom use to fill the tub up with water.

Anyway Gov Cuomo said after the weather update at 4pm today they might close the parkways//trains at 9pm like CT.

Re: This storm is something to take serious

From the meteorologists at The National Weather Service: "IT SHOULD BE A RAGING BLIZZARD AT 6AM...WITH HVY SNOW...DAMAGING WINDS AND WHITEOUT CONDITIONS ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA."

Winds are beginning to pick up. Bands of snow will become heavier overnight. Hell, I say go for the record. If the snow is going to bother us, might as well go for all the inches you can. (In more ways than one. Chat Icon )
