ummmmmmmmm so i leave wee wee pads down when im feeling lazy.... like when the weather is this nasty....

and dharma goes over and takes a poop. so im like ok ill throw it away in one minute (HAD to finish my LIF post! lol)

well im getting ready to go throw it out and tinky is EATING dharmas POOP!

w.t.h?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ive never seen this before.

My dog used to raid the cats litter box sometimes. It's so nasty that they'd eat poo!!

she raids the litter box too, we have a baby gate up now.

i know how you feel mookiee eats her own poop sometimes if we dont pick it up immediately...i heard that its a cleanliness thing for the dog

aaahhhh...your pup has a taste for poop. I have heard all different things, from a vitamin deficiency to cleanliness. I don't know what causes it.
I can say for sure that Misty never went near Espresso's litterbox until we moved. Then all of a sudden she was raiding the litterbox and taking the poop. So we got a babygate to keep her out of the room. Anyway, after a few months I took the gate down and she never went near the litterbox again. I think, in her case, it had to do with moving.

Most of the time it is just because it smells "tasty" (to them).You can try putting tabasco sauce on the piles, but honestly, if you are right there, the best solution is just to pick it up right away.

There is also a powder available, called "Forbid" that has effect of rendering the rendered food distasteful. This works for some dogs well, but not others.

maybe she hates the food she is on. or maybe its the move.

it just struck me as so odd. i have never seen her do this before. although she does try to eat litter critters.... but thats alittle different.

i am actually changing their food again so hopefully that will help.

Hey Jes, not to sounds gross but are their pieces of the food in the poo.....that is to say does it look like there are still bits that were not digested?

BUT i did however give them alittle bit of the new food, maybe she REALLY liked it and couldnt get enough

solid gold....... as opposed to their nasty azz "Purina Veternary Diets: HypoAllergenic"

i dont want them on that. i mixed in some solid gold with it and they picked the SG out.
