How much do you pay and for how many hours? TY!!

Also..Did you leave a key hidden? My DH seems to be struggling with this part..but we really need someone.

I just hired someone. She started today.
She will be coming every 2 weeks. $85/visit. Today she was there for about 5 hours. My house is a work in progress and there is a lot to do. But it has gotten out of control and I needed a clean slate.
I was going to hide a key, but ended up being home. But I did not give her a key. She will get a key as long as I continue to use her in the future.

We pay 85$ but, it's not hourly. It's until the job is done. We gave the owner of the company the key and they let the ladies in. And then pick them up and lock the doors. The cleaning ladies do not have the key. Just the owner. I was doubtful of this but, I came home one day as they were arriving and watched him let them in.

I also pay $85 for a 4BR, 1.5BA house with hardwood floors. The cleaners come by for 1 to 1.5 hours depending on whether there are 2 or 3 of them.

85 is on the cheap end, I've gotten quotes ranging from $85-135.

Initially I would stay home while they clean but am now feelng more comfortable with having them there alone while I go run errands. Our house has a self-locking side door by which they would exit the house when they are done. I also leave a check for them so they can just take it with them when they leave.

my girl comes once a week and i pay $60. she's usually here about 2 hours. my mom uses her and i've known her for a long time so i think i got a good price. if she came less often it would be more money. but i do have to supply my own cleaning supplies.

ETA she does have a key but thats because i know and trust her. my last cleaning lady for my apartment came recommended so i trusted to give her a key too. if i just picked a random person i would not feel comfortable leaving a key.

I am in NJ but I have her come every 2 weeks and pay $100. My house is 3400sq, its: 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. If she comes alone she is from 8:30-12:30/1pm if she comes with someone then she is usually done by 11:30. She charges me $20 for the times I ask her to clean my basement, which is the footprint of the house.

My house is clean to begin with so I always surprised it takes her that long, but she cleans EVERYTHING! Mouldings, all my windows, its liked I cleaned it myself so I appreciate that.

In Manhattan. She comes every other week. 80 bucks for a 1,000 sqft apt.

I would be afraid to leave the key for someone. There is way to much craziness going on right now.

I clean a clean condo(3bed 4bath) 2hrs $50 once a month.
I have a key to the home.

$85 for two people, they stay until the job is done usually 3 hours. If we aren't home we leave the back door unlocked. I'm going to get around to just making a key one day.

If you have someone that cleans your house..

$100 for 2 people every other week, they get here at 9 and leave around 12. Clean everything, including basement.

They come on a day I work from home so I let them in.

if your cleaning person works in eastern queens/western nassau, please send me their contact info!! we need one, but my DH is super hesitant about people without any references.
