This is why we repeat favorites...
I usually make the same exact things every single year for superbowl (and generally any other gathering or holiday that we do often). We have our favorites- tried and trusted recipes and so we make them often. However, I felt like mixing it up this year and made all new recipes for the superbowl. I don't have the $$ to test them beforehand and what busts... I made two new dips - both fairly terrible. Cookies that were so bad I had to throw out (that hasnt happened in a very very long time)... i mean how bad does it have to be to dump it. The frosting i made was even like bland somehow. I am not happy with how anything is turning out and i am sad because my guests will be here in less than an hour. I should have just catered it in!!

Ugh, I hate it when that happens! I'm sure the party will be good regardless. Have a few drinks!

Don't worry, I am sure everyone will enjoy and have fun. Don't stress. I always stress to make new things. I did half cater, half cooking but things I have made before.
