How is everyone today?
All shoveled out?
I've been kind of quiet and emotional lately and I'm trying to shake out of it. I'm sure the hormones and the weather have something to do with my dreary mood (aside from the obvious).
How do you guys cheer yourselves?

I'ts the hormones. Is this your first time? They used to hit me a lot harder in the past. Now I think I am used to them and the rollercoaster we are on.
Do something with your emotions - give them a place to be, i.e. journal, scrapbook, create a vision board. Getting them out usually helps relieve them.
The other part is just accepting that you are emotional for a reason as everyday you are praying that your miracle happens and the suspense could drive the pope insane!
I watch movies or read a book to escape. Keeping busy is key - see friends, go shopping, live, etc.
Hang in there and remember you are not alone.
Last thought: confide in 1 person that you trust completely outside of your SO and talk about what you are going through.

THIS! Especially the last part. I swore I wasn't going to tell anyone this time around because I really just didn't want to. I finally broke down and told my coworker today because I am convinced I will have a BFN. It felt so good to talk to her. Her sister has been through it all so she is an amazing support system. In the end, no matter what the outcome, you need someone to lean on.

Re: How is everyone today?
Thanks for the responses!
This is actually not really that new to me. I went through it about 4 years ago for a while and I needed to take a break. This time, I'm on my third round with the hormones (granted this last one involved more). They make me crazy - as I'm sure you've all experienced. I'm just trying not to get to wrapped up.
I have a few close friends that know what's happening. I try not to talk about it to them too much, because I don't want it to start to define me to them. Does that make any sense? I am a lot more open this time than 4 years ago, but I find that unless you've been there, it's hard to relate. Know what I mean? My husband is wonderful and I know we are in this together, but I also no that it is difficult for him to relate.
I've journaled about it before, but it was never the cathartic experience I thought it would be.
The one thing I hadn't really tried was engaging with others that were going through it. I thought it would be too depressing and I was afraid.
Thank you so much for the ideas, I truly appreciate them.

Re: How is everyone today?
I have been pretty down in the dumps... the best I can do is just smile and pretend everything is ok and think about how grateful I am for everything in my life... it helps! That and wine
