beta 47 at 4 weeks?? Update#2

I had a mc on January 1 and my levels were down to zero by the 5th.. I used opks and got my smiley on January 16th. So from what I assume Im either 4 weeks today or yesterday b/c I got a BFP on the 27th! I had my beta done yesterday and the number came back today at 47.. My question would be is 47 a good number for only 4 weeks or 3w 6d?? I go back for a repeat on Monday and I will know results by tuesday but until then i'll be so worried!! I have had two consecutive mc in this past year.. I can't take another!!!


Update*** I haven't been feeling well today and I'm paranoid so I took another hpt.. As I'm waiting for it to come up I notice when I wipe I'm spotting.. Then the test develops and the second line is significantly lighter then the other day... I'm having bad cramps... I know where this is headed... I'm going to call dr first thing in the morning I know they will send me for another beta but there isn't a reason anymore.. I'm heartbroken...

Went to ob today and confirmed that it is a mc.. She said that I should go to an RE which I have previously been to due to fertility issues when i was ttc my DS... Im just at a loss as to what to do or think.. I feel almost broken..

It's a fine number, but it's not actually the number that matters. Your beta should double every 48 hours (give or take) at the beginning. That's what's important. Are they having you go back in for repeat blood?

Yes. That number is a good baseline number, but as pp said what matters more is if the number steadily increases.

You can't judge by how dark the lines are. Every individual test is different. And spotting and cramping could be normal, so try not to panic yet.

Have they tested your progesterone levels?

Also, if this is a m/c, I'd recommend seeing an RE, if you aren't already.

I'm sorry for your loss

You should definitely seek out an RE since you had back to back mc. It could be a low progesterone issue or blood flow factor.

I am so sorry for your loss. Look into Dr. Kofinas. He helped me get pregnant and stay pregnant!

Sounds like maybe you need to be on Progesterone to help you keep the pregnancy.
