Anyone suffer with amniotic band while preg?

22 weeks preg; super nervous because a floating amniotic band was found during my anatomy scan. This is due to partial chorio-amniotic separation. (Could be from a fall I suffered from at 16 weeks preg). Googling this was huge mistake. Drs are happy with how baby is moving and looks/weight gain, etc. but we are nervous about potential entanglement..

We are currently using high-risk practice at Winthrop Hospital; I know we're in good hands. curious if anyone has btdt?

thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I have no experience but I too see a high risk Dr. at Winthrop and you are def. in good hands! Stay positive. Chat Icon

Thnx for responding, when are you due?
Which practice are you using?
Do you mind sharing what makes your preg high-risk?

I'm due at the end of May.
Dr. Chavez, who is a maternal fetal medicine specialist.
I'm pregnant with identical twins and one of the twins has a two vessel umbilical chord rather than three. Which means while she is getting enough of what she needs, its not as much as her sister and as a result, she is smaller and there is a little less fluid in her sac.

I go for weekly sonos to monitor their growth and if at any time they see one or both in distress, they will prepare me for delivery. (i pray every day this is not the case)

I'm meeting Dr Chavez on Monday for my echo-cardiogram! Him and Dr Rafael are going to be in my room to analyze baby further..
Wishing you luck!
I know the NICU at Winthrop is excellent too, in case of pre-term birth... I am going to be going every 1-2 weeks for monitoring of baby's growth/placenta too...
