RE Rec?
I had great success with LIIVF. I went to the Melville office which is right off Rt. 110. Dr. Kenigsberg was my RE. I found the office to be incredibly organized and well run. I liked all of the people there from the ladies at the front desk, to the sonogram techs and nurses.

LI IVF has an office in Lake Success. I see Dr. Brenner there. Have no complaints thus far.

I go to liivf and love them. They get you in and out. Most of the girls are so sweet. And if you have to go ivf the nurses in the procedure room are amazing. I liked dr Pena. He's not my dr but I was I had him the whole time.

RE Rec?
I live near you and I loved North Shore LIJ center for human reproduction. I saw a doctor at each visit, the nurses are awesome, and their monitoring is great. My Dr. was Dr. Hershlag. There are women, too.

If you have out of network coverage - I highly recommend Dr. Braverman. Greatest doctor I've ever worked with.

Re: RE Rec?
Everyone is going to have their own opinion on the drs. they see. the best advice I can give is to research, research, research ask questions and be your own advocate when it comes to choosing your dr. I was so naive going into this process. 3 years and 3 drs later, I know so much more. ask questions, keep a notebook.. Because it is a lot.
my RE opinions:
RS of NY- took my insurance and was convenient location but I did not like them at all. again this is my opinion and others love it there. It is very busy, you can wait in morning up to two hours and techs check you, not even the drs. I feel like I wasted over a year and a half there and left after 2nd failed IVF.- I didn't realize how bad it was until I was at next dr- what a difference. they do phone calls only- didn't do e-mail at least not in my case. Liked dr at first but I slowly changed my opinion of him.
RMA of NY- love this practice- took my insurance partially convenient- had office in Garden City to monitor- all procedures were in NYC and GC wasn't open during wknd so any wknd appts were NYC. Loved my dr- he found my thyroid elevated and a uterine septum that other practice failed to catch. I felt he truly cared but he wasn't an out of box thinker and I needed that for my situation. I am a difficult case. communicated by phone or e-mail which was great. very organized- well oiled machine- from front desk to office
SIRM- Dr. Tortortiello- current dr and I LOVE him- his intelligence, his methodical approach, his bluntness but in a caring way. He found immune issues and scar tissue-uterus issues. not convenient at all for me- He's in NYC- 5th ave- very busy area- takes my ins by I do pay co-pays where other 2 places I didn't bc they were Center of Excellence. His front desk is a little unorganized but I'm dealing with it bc I like him so much and he is my last shot.
Good luck with your situation!! Any questions, ask away because many of us our veterans in this unfortunately.

I was referred to Dr Zapantis by my OB. Successful pregnancy on first IUI. What I like about him is how personal the office is and how I never felt like just another patient. 5w2d now and I'll miss them when I graduate to my OB!

agree with you on RsofNY, JIMO as well, they are not a center of Excellence any more
I am surprised to hear Dr. T's office is not a center of excellence??

I used to go to North Shore Human Reproduction. I had 5 cycles and they were all BFN. I switched to RS Of NY and I agree with the other posters the office is a mess and you don't see a doctor really just mostly sonogram techs and nurses, BUT I had success with them (17month old DD and currently 13 weeks pregnant). Other than that I wouldn't recommend them, but if Dr Trivax was to leave I would follow him across the globe.

RE Rec?
I would take opinions of practices with a grain of salt. We all like drs for different reasons and we will always love the one that got is pg.
I went to a beloved dr from this site and it was a huge waste of time and money but others love him.
I would research and also find one that is convenient. You will be spending lots of time there so it needs to work for you and your DH.

I agree with the grain of salt part. Any Dr can get a person pregnant at some point as each cycle is different, but when the office itself is a total mess and the staff make many mistakes (and the Dr is no help) in my experience, its an office to stay away far away from starting from the beginning.
No office is perfect but some are much better than other.

Re: RE Rec?
I'm a fan of RMA.
I can't personally speak for their LI office, but I had one Dr who was seeing me & planning my care (personally, I liked him very much).
The big procedures, you go to NYC for (that's where they have their central labs, embryologists, etc). They are a BIG group and do a LOT of RE. Their rates of success are quite high.
