Valentine's day
Do kindergarteners give anything out in class for Valentine's Day besides cards? For my preschooler I made bags with play doh and stuff, but wasn't sure if I needed to give anything out for a kindergartener. Thanks!

Re: Valentine's day
Yes you can do some of the easy cards with a lollipop, just a card or stickers

Our school prefers no food due to allergies so i got DS Spiderman cards that you insert pencils instead of lollipops.

Re: Valentine's day
I made the same bags for my preschooler and 3rd grader- each bag has a valentine with a lollipop, then there's a candy bracelet, pencil, notebook, stickers and paper airplane.

This. DS picked out a Batman Valentine with tattoos. He's getting plenty of candy and chocolate anyway between us and his grandparents.
Of course for his small K enrichment class there's only 5 kids and no allergies so they each get a chocolate bar. LOL!
For the teachers I loved the idea of the EOS pink chapstick.

Valentine's day
A note was sent home instructing the parents to make sure every kids gets a card and cards only- no treats- edible or otherwise. I called the teacher to verify and then I returned the spiderman w/ pencil valentines and just got cards.

Re: Valentine's day
DS' teacher sent home a note that we could send in valentines cards but no candy or food attached. So, I'll just be sending in the cards.
ETA: I ended up doing spiderman cards and attached pencils to them.
