Dead sperm?
Of course now that I have DH on the same page as far as fertility treatments, his last 3 samples were ALL dead. He had an analysis done in Sept and it was fine just low morphology. Does anyone have any i Experience with this? I'm so distraught!

Re: Dead sperm?
Please excuse my dumb question but are you giving the sample to the lab within the hour of DH "releasing"?
Did your RE suggest he see a urologist? I would think thT may be your next step so the Dr can try and see what may be causing this. It's just odd that in September he was fine.
Sometimes there are antioxidants and supplements to help fix this.

Dead sperm?
Yes. Last two samples were produced on site. I made an appt to a urologist for him. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Has anything changed since Sept? diet, environment, etc?? it still seems really strange in such a short period of time to be ok to dead!!

Re: Dead sperm?
Which lab was this done at? In house at an RE, or at an independent lab?
I've never heard of a person going from having good to dead sperm before in such a short amount of time. I would have your RE see a urologist and have a second opinion SA. The endocrinology dept at Stony Brook Hospital does an in depth one.

Dead sperm?
We just went through this.. DH's count was normal with low motility back in november, did IUI in december and his count was very low.. Went to Urologist on RE's recommendation and found that the count was almost zero.. Did a couple of tests and found he had a blockage.. It was a simple ambulatory surgery procedure to remove it and a week after the procedure his count was WAY up.. hoping it continues to go up, he goes again next week..

What urologist did you go to? Was your dh in pain?

Dr. Schoor in Smithtown, recommended by my RE. He wasn't in any pain, it's not a surface wound so their are no stitches. Have they checked your DH's testosterone level with blood work? That can play a big part in low levels as well.

Yes my re drew blood work yesterday. Waiting for the results. This is so stressful. Can u continue to ttc right after? How long did it take to diagnose? I'm hoping it's something as simple as this.
