Gas Heating - Repair Needed

We moved into our first house 1 month ago and have never had gas heating before. Needless to say, we have been having problems with the system. There have been a few times in the last month where the heat would shut off and not come back on for a while. We woke up to no heat yesterday in 2 degree weather and made a yearly contract with HomeServe so they could come and service it. The man said it just needed to be cleaned and we had heat again.

As of last night, our heat won't go above 67 degrees, even when we set it to 72. It is still 67 degrees now - 15 hours later. Our system just keeps running and a mixture of cold and hot air is coming out. I called HomeServe to complain and get someone here today and after waiting on hold for an hour & a half, they tell me that they can't get someone here until tomorrow morning. So not only are we cold and we can't get this fixed until tomorrow, this system just keeps running and doesn't shut off.

What would you do? I don't even know who to call to get someone out here today. I already complained to HomeServe about terrible customer service but now I'm at a loss because this is all very new to us.

Plumbers can usually service gas heating systems. Let us know what area you're in and maybe someone has a recommendation.
