Where to get kitchen cabinets
we have someone to do the kitchen renovation but how does it work w cabinets? We go somewhere and they send someone to take measurements? Need recs please.

Where to get kitchen cabinets
I bought mine from Consumers. They will send someone to take measurements once you do the design and then they will tweak the design if needed. Then they deliver when needed.
I priced my cabinets at HD and Lowe's also and for the same exact layout and everything HD was 2x the price and Lowe's was much more expensive too.

We got StarMark Cabinets from Global Kitchens in East Meadow just down the street from Consumers. Super happy with the service and quality of the cabinets. Priced out a bunch of different places, including Consumers for the same cabinets and they came in cheapest at Global. The owner is really nice and accommodating and made some really helpful suggestions. (He's a tiny bit hard to understand though.)
When we ran into an issue like our contractor drilling through an end panel  it was really easy to get a replacement.
And a year later, I still love our cabinets. So sturdy and nice feeling, although the downside is that I'm constantly slamming cabinets when I'm not at home bc I'm so used to the soft close, haha.

Where to get kitchen cabinets
there's a place on lakeland in ronkonkoma or bohemia that we went to. they were great. sorry i dont remember the name

Check out Dynamic Kitchens & Furniture in Copiague- they're a vendor on here. They specialize in custom cabinetry (Not pre-fab and installed). They build to your exact specifications so no wasted space, no fillers, and you get what you want.
They also custom stain, paint, etc. so you aren't limited to the color selection say at a consumers, or other stock cabinetry dealers.

They are outstanding.
My parents used them after getting recs on here and the cabinets are like FURNITURE -- it's like a work of art. And the prices they paid are comparable to what some of their friends paid for boxed pre-fab cabinets they bought at Home Depot!
