How would you spell the name A-lees-cee-a so it's pronounced like that and not A-leesh-a?

Im not 100% sure if this is the traditional spelling but if asked, but I'd spell it Alyssia or Elyssia .
I think Alicia Silverstone spells it this way. But if I saw Alicia on paper I'd pronounce it A lee sha.

Alessia
I think this is pronounced: A- less- ee -a
Considered it for my DD.
At work, we have an Alyssia who pronounces it the way you wanted, but everyone calls her Alyssa (she corrects, but usually ends up giving up).

I think Alysia or Alesia would work. Alicia will end up pronounced the way you don't' want.

Alicia Silverstone (girl from Clueless) spells it Alicia and it's pronounced the way you want it. I think its less of how you spell it and more that people will mimic the way you pronounce it. I wouldn't go to great lengths to spell something phonetically.

I think it's one of those names that will be mispronounced no matter how you spell it.
DD's name is Hayley (pronounced Hay-Lee) but it's frequently pronounced like Hailey (Hail-ee). It is what it is.

I think no matter what, you'll have to correct people. Just go with the spelling you personally like the most.

Re: Name spelling
Thanks ladies! I thought we had names picked out for when DD was born and now we don't. I cannot think of anything else! We both kinda liked this name but not A-leash-a!
