Anyone ever use a shoe stretcher?
Does it work? Did it mess up the shape of the shoe?
I need to break in a pair of patent shoes and they are KILLING me.
Wondering if this would work but nervous I'd ruin the shoes.

Can you wear the shoes around the house with a thin pair of socks? That's what I've done to stretch out shoes that were a little too tight

Re: Anyone ever use a shoe stretcher?
I just bought one on amazon the other day. It arrived yesterday and I'm stretching my first pair now.
After teaching for 20 plus years, being pg with twins (feet grew from a 10 to 10.5) the front of my foot is wide and my ankle is skinny... my big toes are getting small bunions and well... backs of every shoe slip off and the fronts feel like I'm cutting my toes off after 30 minutes of wear. Nothing fits. Even my Naturalizer heels were uncomfortable.
It was $30. and it's only one... can only stretch one shoe at a time but this is how the "better" ones are sold. I might by another.
Just tried them on and there is a definite difference in the shoe I stretched (left) vs. the one I did not (right, just started stretching it tonight).
ETA: They are a pair of patent.
I'll let you know but so far so good

This is exactly my problem! I feel like if I just had one less toe all my shoes would fit better! Lol. there is not one pair of pumps that fit me. Not one. I can only wear boots, booties and sandals. thanks for the info!
