First anniversary mini vaca?

So we are approaching our one year anniversary which I can't believe! We can't take any days off of work so we wanted to go away for the weekend, anybody have any suggestions? I'm not fond of the poconos resorts, a little to 80s for our taster, we are looking for something more modern. We want to drive, the most 4 hours and I would love a room with a jaccuzi but I doubt we can find something like that...any ideas?

We couldn't take honeymoon right away so we went to Cape Cod for the weekend. You can take the ferry across or drive around depending on where you liive. There are a ton of B&B's, we found one that has a jacuzzi tub, the room and breakfast were terrific. We loved it there and plan to go back this fall (we like the off season).

We stayed at a place called Ashley Manor, we went in the off season so I think it was a bit cheaper than it is right now, but the owners were so sweet and we fell in love with the Cape. There is a B&B finder website you can google that will show you all the B&B's in the area, each town has its own quirkyness, but we liked where we stayed the best, I think its in Barnstable. There is a restaurant nearby called "Fin", it was amazing! The frisky oyster was good too.

Rhode Island! We were going to go the weekend after our wedding since we're not going on our honeymoon right away but something came up. We're staying at the Hyatt in Newport over the summer - it looks beautiful!

Right now we are planning to go to Montauk. We will see by the end of the Summer if those plans are still on or if we will take a trip someplace else. I'd love to go back to Aruba

there are so many cute B and B spots in cape cod. we went for a weekend a year ago. just amazing, with so much to do
