My face needs a miracle!
I've had a severe case of pizza face since going off the pill several months ago. Right now I have 3 giant pimples and my face is so dry it's flaky. My makeup literally flakes off and it's disgusting.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Face wash, spot treatments, moisturizers? ANYTHING??!!
Proactiv doesn't work for me so that's out.

When my face starts to break out uncontrollably, I use this
I use it as a face wash and as a mask, like it states.
Ill also use the pads after I wash it before bed.
I try to keep my face clean or any products while it's bad. I know you have to cover to go out, but as soon as you get home, wash it off.
For the flaky skin, use a gentle exfoliate and then a light, oil free lotion before you apply make up. But while you're home? Be flaky. Leave your skin clean.
Another one people forget about... DRINK WATER! Tons and tons of water. It really does make a big difference in your skin.

I have very sensitive skin and the only thing that worked for me was going to a dermatologist. Proactive didn't do anything, most over the counters dry me out and do nothing. I've even made it look worse with over the counter stuff. That stuff could burn you.
Drink tons of water, watch greasy food, use a light, sensitive moisturizer and make up that won't clog your pours.
My skin has been much better since having kids, which is odd. LOL! Now I still use stuff for sensitive skin like cleaners and lotions. Once in a while if I do break out I'll just dab the pimple with hydrogen peroxide

Google the oil cleansing method OCM. And I will follow up with raw honey which is anti bacterial.

Oil cleansing is awesome! I have been doing it for a few months and it's amazing.

If you read the active ingrediants in Proactiv it's the same shitt as they sell in the drugstore under Clearasil, Stridex, Clean and Clear and even store brands of acne wash and products.
Benozyl peroxide.
It's been around for years.
I never understood was so great about proactiv. It's the same stuff with a different brand name and fancy marketing campaign.
i agree with the derm. A derm was the only one who could clear up my acne.

I use Neutrogena ultra gentile daily cleaner, clean and clear persa-gel for spot treatment and netrogena healthy skin face lotion with SPF 15.
I've always had pretty bad sensitive skin and this combo has been working for a while now..I'm even receiving compliments on my skin. It also helps to drink water and for the last few months I've been eating blueberries with my breakfast every morning and I'm wondering if maybe that's why my skin has been looking clear.

My DH had horrible back acne. He used Acne free 24 hr acne clearing system (we bought it on Amazon for like $10.99), and its been like a miracle worker. HTH.

It may be diet related - some people break out when they consume too much dairy, sugar or gluten. And this my seem strange, but changing your pillow case every night can help with breakouts.
What is your skin care routine like now? Being consistent is really important. My skin got AWFUL last fall and has improved after developing a routine that includes OCM and a weekly mask (queen helene mint julep mask).

I'd call your GYN and ask to switch pills. There are so many options now. Why stick with one that is causing breakouts? If you can't switch then I'd go see a derm.
