anyone induced at NS Manhasset?
I'm scheduled to go in Tuesday or Wednesday night. Wondering what to expect. My doctor didnt say much. The plan is cytotec or cervidel that night and then likely pitocin in the morning depending on my progress...
Do they induce you in your delivery room? Did your DH stay over? If so, any place for him to sleep? Any thing else????? Positive experiences???

Re: anyone induced at NS Manhasset?
I was suppose to be induced, but that same night I went into labor on my own (two hours before we were suppose to go to hospital). We were suppose to check in at labor and delivery, and if we did get induced, it would have been in the same delivery room. There is a recliner type of seat that DH can sit in - but really neither of us slept throughout that night except for maybe an hour after the epidural. That place is amazing - we had a great experience overall and all the nurses and doctors were great. The recovery room once you're settled in is great also - there's a pull out couch there that your DH can sleep in while you're at the hospital. You're in great hands! Easy labor vibes!

I was induced in January there. I went in on Thursday night to get the strep b antibiotics and was going to start pitocin at 5am Friday morning. I was put in a holding room because there were so many women coming in that were already in labor. I didn't get into the delivery room until a little after 7am right after they broke my water. I got my epidural in the delivery room and had DS at 10:43am. All of the nurses I had were wonderful and I even ended up with two residents in my room when I delivered (they asked if it was OK and at that point I didn't really care lol). DH slept at home because we don't live far from the hospital and we have pets that he had to take care of. There is a couch for them to sleep on in the recovery room. I had a great experience.

Re: anyone induced at NS Manhasset?
I was induced twice there.....both times I got to the hospital around 5am...I started out in a holding room where they inserted the cervadial around 8am....once they do that you have to stay lying down for two hours....then I was moved to a delivery room room where they started piticon...for one of them my water broke on its own the other they had to break my water...one of my kids was born at 7:28 with a half hour of pushing the other was born at 8:51 with about 5 minutes of pushing...had a great experience both times
