Men can be so stubborn sometimes. I would just explain to DH that the baby is adjusting to new schedule/mommy being at work. Everyone who has kids go through this. You are not alone. If he hasn't taken care of the baby alone too often he probably doesn't appreciate all the hard work it takes Chat Icon in regards to him saying he doesn't want more kids I wouldn't give it too much thought right now. Have that conversation a little further down the road when things settle down a bit and emotions aren't running high. One day the infant stage will be over and the crying and sleepless nights will be a distant memory. Try to slow down and enjoy the ride, even if it is a bit trying at times. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Agree as well with pp.

Tell your husband if he wants things to get better HE has to help his dd so things will be better. He cannot continue to do nothing and say o I don't understand why nothing is changing. =/
Men do not have the patience that women do. PERIOD. Im sorry.

Need help ...

Does he have friends around that he can get together with to give him something to do during the day? DH stays home and when I first went back to work, he was so overwhelmed. We just had a 2nd (he's 4 months) and I haven't gone back to work yet, but DH is already talking about how stressed he is going to be. Anyway, DH would meet his friends for lunch and take DS1 with him. He developed his own routines and made it work. It took a long time for him to run errands with DS1 and be a productive member of society, but eventually he was able to. It takes most men a lot longer to take care of a child and do other things. DS2 is 4 months old and DH has never taken both boys anywhere alone- I have taken them many places alone. It's something he is going to have to do when I go back to work- he'll figure it out as it comes. Your husband is going to have to develop his own routines with your DD. As far as having another- let him get settled with this one edits you even think of another!!!
