trying to remain hopeful
We've been TTC for 15 months now. Every month I feel like I get so hopeful and then I'm so let down when we don't get pregnant. This month I just feel so down like it's just never going to happen. I'm trying to be hopeful...but it's hard. I wish I could just not think about it, but I keep thinking oh but maybe this is going to be the month and then I think...but prob not. If it doesn't work this month we are def. going back to RE to see what our options are going forward...maybe I can look forward to that.
Thanks for listening to me vent...

trying to remain hopeful
I've been there 2x now. For my first it took exactly 2 years to get PG and now my DS is 3 and we have been trying since shortly after having him.
This time I am taking a more "it is what it is" attitude but it's easier since I already have DS.
For the first I had months when I was fine and ones where I didn't think I could handle anymore. I suggest calling and making an appt with an RE now. Most won't get you on right away and there is a ton of testing that needs to be done so the earlier you get started the better. I kept putting it off thinking I would at some point get PG. I wish I had started the process earlier.

trying to remain hopeful
Just wanted to express my sympathy....It is hard too because, at least for me, I feel like it's the only thing I can think about! The TTC journey is so hard for some of us and so easy for others-- just starts to seem unfair, you know? I had a miscarriage in December after nearly a year of trying and now am back TTC and it is so hard to remain hopeful.....I'm in the TWW now and while I was feeling hopeful in the beginning now I'm sort of feeling that the likelihood that I'm going to get a BFP is slim as I dont really feel like I have any of the symptoms I had before --- so here I am, at my office, crying with the door closed (even though I'm only 6 dpo) because I'm frustrated and extremely sad.
Try to hang in there....its all we can do, I suppose. :(

trying to remain hopeful
Thanks everyone! It just feels like such a roller coaster. I'm in my 2ww period right now and I hate this time I just try not to think about it but I inevitably do think about it. I went ahead and made appt with RE for next month hoping I get pregnant this month and can cancel it haha.

trying to remain hopeful
I've been there! It took 2.5 years of on/off (mostly on) TTC to finally conceive my now 12 month old! And now I'm 15w pregnant again (only took one time!). Hang in there.

I will say I was seeing a new RE and was just waiting on some test results before we were going to start IVF. Bam I was pregnant that month. It was also the one month I was not even thinking about getting pg. I just figured ok I have to do IVF so why stress this month. Lots of wine and no stress and I now have a wonderful crazy 3 year old.

im glad you said this, because i wanted to mention something like this, but i dont want to come off as insensitive in any way!
for me, luckily i didn't have issues.. but for example, for 2 months i was diligent with checking ovulation, etc and i made myself stressed. the month i decided to just wing it, i got pregnant. unfortunately i miscarried.. but then after the MC i said again, this is out of my hands. i relaxed, i took care of myself and i planned things i would being that i wasnt pregnant..and then 6 weeks after my MC i found out i was pregnant again.
my very good friend had a RE appointment set for Jan 4.. Jan 3 she found out she was pregnant, because she wasnt stressing.
several of my friends have shared stories like this as well.
set and appointment for a few months from now, and in the mean time, dont even think about it! enjoy life, enjoy your hubby, enjoy sex.. you never know!

same thing with my good friend- she just announced she is 12 weeks yesterday. They were trying for 2 years, she had a mc in the middle. She made the RE appt, and found out she was pregnant 3 days before her visit. She said she was throwing her legs up on pillows, cutting out alcohol, stressing over her diet, etc. and then the month it worked she didn't do any of that.
So make the appt, but keep trying and don't stress- So much easier said than done though
