Eden Resort - Getting there early..?

We live just 90 minutes from Lancaster so I'd love to get to the hotel on the early side (and would LOVE to get my DS down for his 1:00 nap in the hotel room).

2 questions:
1. Anyone have any luck with an early check-in? It says it's at 3:00, we're going on a Thursday in early June, assuming it won't be TOO busy?

2. Even if the room isn't ready, can you use the pool and facilities when you get there? (Is there an area to change into swimsuits?)

We went last summer and we didn't check in till maybe 5.

Ended up going on the train and Dutch Wonderland while we waited.

Just fyi, pool gets PACKED and it is heated.

Since you are going mid-week in early June, I think you might luck out on getting into your room early. I don't know about 1:00, but who knows.

And yes, you can use the pool and the playground before checking in to your room.

We have been at Eden early June before my son started school (I loved going then), and it's not nearly as crowded as it is once school lets out.

We get there around 1. The first 2 years our room was ready at 1 when we arrived.
Last year it was not so we changed in the pool area bathrooms and hung out by the pool/ordered lunch.
They called my cell around 230 or 3 saying our room was ready.

It is hard to say with hotels. You never know the situation with housekeeping that day. I would try and see what happens. You can call them and see if they can put in your reservation a note about early check in. I have done that at other hotels before and it worked.

We were able to get into our room around that time last year on a Monday in June but, the previous year, we weren't.
