Families of five or more...vacations
How do you rent hotel rooms on vacation? Do you only look for suits?
We want to do Strasburg PA and Hershey this summer and we are hoping to to do a Disney trip in the next year or two.
But, most hotel rooms seem limited to four people. My kids are 7, 5, and 2 so I don't see how we would do a second room unless DH and I split up. I don' t want to spend a ton of extra on a suite because we really won't be at the hotel much.
Are any hotels flexible with the extra kid? Thanks for any advice or tips!

I can't imagine any hotel will give you a hard time when your kids are so young. I just wouldn't say anything when you check in. I doubt anyone will care.

You can get two connecting rooms. It's cheaper than a suite
You can also get two double beds and ask for a rollaway of they will allow it.

I never say anything I book the hotel room online usually. Our kids are 11,8 and 5.
I look for a room that has 2 beds and a pull out couch.

I know in Disney there are rooms that sleep 5 (maybe more). We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and I'm almost positive I read that certain rooms slept more guests. I'm not sure about other hotels though . . .

My kids are 1,3 and 5 and we always just get 2 double beds and ask for a crib or PNP

Same. Otherwise I say we're a family of 4 and bring an air mattress for my 4 year old--before that pack&play. At Disney we just stayed at the Beach Club and had two queens and a day bed.

Many hotels are ok with 5, especially if one is little. When we had 3 we just got a room with 2 queen beds and a pnp. We went with 4 dc to Disney and were able to have 6 in a room at a deluxe hotel because littlest was an infant. But it was very tight. Now they are 9, 7, 3 and almost 2. We just get 2 connecting rooms if possible.

I just wouldn't say 3 kids. Bring a sleeping bag or air mattress.

We only have 2 kids but, we try to stay in suites whenever possible. Our kids are young so we like to stay up a little later than they do.
The Eden Resort has numerous suites and is close to Strasburg.
