Please give me hope that it gets easier!
Today is 1 week with our 8week old German Shepherd
Night times are going VERY well. She's going in her crate on her own, no crying, wakes for bathroom.
The last 2 days I have also been able to go out for 1-1 1/2hr & come home to her crate dry! (The 1st time I tried was Monday & that wasn't the case)
Once she's housebroken, just how long can I be away from home? I'm overtired, barely sit down, on edge, frustrated...it doesn't help that she really can't leave home until all the shots are done (so like Aug) 
I just need reassurance that this is temporary, I won't be a prisoner forever!

The general rule of thumb is that a dog can hold it for as many hours as months they are old. So, when she's lets say 3 months old she should be able to hold it for 3 - 4 hours. It's not a hard and fast rule, but its a guideline.
It DOES get better though. We had german shepards growing up and the first few weeks were always hard but it did get better after that. Especially once you learn their signs of when they need to go out.
Also, you should still be able to take her out of the house without all her shots. Take her for car rides with you to the store. It'll be good bonding time and you wont feel so much like a slave to her schedule.

It does get better!
The not "going out with out her having all her shots"... my vet was a bit more specific and told us they can't be around other dogs until they have all their shots - but you can bring her out of the house, car rides etc

I'm sorry, I should have specified....yes the vet said no dog parks, places stray dogs could be, pet stores, etc. but Lowe's allows dogs, so that's sometimes nice to get used to the sounds.
I'm just scared that couldn't she be in contact if other dogs are/were there?
I'm a new Mom all over again

totally but you had 2 legged kids and they are still alive and so are you
the reason why they should not go out is bc dogs like to smell everything, and taste but if you take her out even to the yard, wash off her paws this way when she comes in this way when she licks them it will reduce her chances of getting something
PS, like all kids she will not like the washing of the paws lol

I said that to my DH, I took my DDs out before all shots.
I guess when I heard about parvo it scares me. Because my DDs as baby's didn't roll in the grass & such, so it was easier to keep them clean.
I guess I'm being silly?

I don't think you are being silly.
Parvo is horrible. Very dangerous to puppies.
I would not take a puppy that is not fully vaccinated anywhere.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family 
Puppies are wonderful ( all of the tough things will eventually subside as your puppy grows up )
If you have a fenced in yard....you can take your puppy out for some daily exercise....no chance of coming in contact with other dogs, just be aware of lime or fertilizer on the lawn.
I would not take him out to any stores or for walks where other dogs have been until he has all of his shots.

We have a 1/2 acre, so we walk & run the yard throughout the day. Of course mulch, rocks, and leaves she loves, so she's keeping me on my toes!
