I'm sure there are tons of threads like this already but of course in my time of need, I can't find anything more recent.

I'm 11 weeks and not happy with my practice. I do like my doctor, however, dealing with their office staff is just too stressful for me. I called today because I'm very sick and was told to call my primary and not them. I wanted to clear a couple of medication options by a doctor but was told if I had questions after I saw my primary to call them back. Needless to say, I call my primary and the first thing they ask? Did you call your OB? They are going to want to make sure they're fully involved in your care, especially since you're so sick. I Think at this point I may seek other options in doctors, especially since I'm so early yet.

I prefer to have the baby at St. Charles but will do Stony Brook as well.

TIA for your recommendations!!

Any particular location?

I just recently switched for this child to Stonybrook gyn/ob and love them so far. I go to either Bohemia or East Setauket depending on their availabilities.

Thanks - I was considering them too. I've heard good thing. I'm on the south shore but prefer to have to baby up that way so I'll really go wherever.

I use three village in patchogue and aside from loving the doctors, the office staff is so nice and easy too deal with. They have a setauket location but that office is bigger and the front staff isn't as good imo. I've seen some of the doctors at stonybrook obgyn too and they're very nice. Both offices are affiliated with sb.

Dr erhart on 112 In port Jeff is amazing!! I just delivered my second baby and I loved both my experiences! There's only 2 doctors in the office and only one of them will deliver! They don't use covering drs! They also only deliver at st Charles. Everyone in the office is great! I've never really waited more than 10-25 mins and whenever I called with questions they do their best to help!

I see Suffolk OB GYN and although there are some drs that I really like from there, there are too many drs and that can be annoying like for example I never met the dr that delivered my son before, til the day of delivery! Thank goodness he ended up being nice and knowledgable but still.

This time around I'm contemplating using a midwive, haven't met with anyone yet but I got a couple of referrals so we'll see how that goes.

I used Three Village with my first PG, and then my OB left and opened his own practice and I followed him. His name is Dr. Scott Berman and the name of his practice is Complete Women's Care.
