Re: Bocu Salon-Commack

I used to go there, like 5+ years ago. I liked that they were open 7 days a week (not sure if that it still true).

I would get highlights there and although I was happy with the service, I found the staff to be stuffy and rude on occasion.

I used to go there. I agree totally about the rude staff. I liked the woman who did my highlights but the girl who cut my hair was really rude. I don't like chatting with stylists but she was so unfriendly that it was uncomfortable. She also answered her phone while cutting my hair on more than one occasion and proceeded to chat and make plans for the night, so it clearly wasn't an emergency. She didn't even apologies after she hung up! I quickly decided I was stupid for paying so much to be treated like crap. Will never go back there. She didn't give any exceptional cuts either.

I have to agree with the above posters. I only went there once because there was just so much "attitude" from everyone who worked there. I never leave the house looking like a slob, but I felt like if you weren't dressed to the nines there, you weren't "good enough" for them. I don't care if it was the best haircut in the world, I have no desire to pay good money to feel like that. Going to a salon where I feel comfortable and where there isn't so much attitude is just as important to me as the quality of the cut or other service.

I used them for my wedding ...and they took me I think over an hour late (there was another bride there who over slept, so they made ME wait....it was miserable) which then pushed everything else, including my pictures back. Nobody apologized or said anything to me. Terrible.

Re: Bocu Salon-Commack

I never understood these salons with this kind of attitude.
Who do you think you are?
You are cutting hair, not performing brain surgery.
Get over yourself.
Looking down on your clients who are paying you good money?
Please- you can go scratch.
I'd rather go to Lemon Tree than deal with that.

Re: Bocu Salon-Commack

I go to an awesome girl in Commack who works out of her home in addition to working in a salon. She charges me $60 for wash, cut, color and blow out. She charges me $5 for my kids, wash/cut. Let me know if you want her info. She is so nice and does a great job!

Wow, guess I'm in the minority because I've been going to Bocu for 15 years now. I love my hairdresser Tammy and everyone is always very nice to me. I say try it for yourself. You may find that you have a different experience.

Re: Bocu Salon-Commack

I used to go there. I stopped going b/c my hair dresser had an attitude that I did not care for.
