Does Zumba work?
I just joined Lucille Roberts and I think Im going to go to the Zumba classes, but do they work? Do they really do anything? Im skeptical, only bc I know people who LOVE Zumba, but Ive never seen or heard of great results bc of it. Just curious? Has anyone done Zumba as their main workout and had success with it?

Does Zumba work?
I do zumba at bayshore lucille roberts. The wednesday night class is insane. I sweat my ass off, get sore and out if breath for 45 minutes straight. The monday night instructor isnt AS intense for me but still a good work out. It all depends on the instructor.

Does Zumba work?
I agree with above that it is all about who your instructor is. To be a zumba instructor it is just a training so anyone who goes to the training has the ability to teach. You have to find a good instructor. Also zumba is mostly cardio so you may lose weight but you need to add weights for a full workout.

Exactly! I have taken lots of Zumba classes, probably with almost 10 different instructors. Out of those 10, there has been one true standout, and two others that were great. The rest were ok at best. But in fairness to them, I'm a dance teacher so I really enjoy the more intense, more choreography type classes.

I went to my first class tonight. it was so much fun! Even though I was sweating, felt less like a workout and more like fun! The instructor was great and the choreography wasnt to hard for my uncoordinated ass, LOL! Ill definitely go back!

I go every Wednesday night. Love the instructor and it doesn't feel like a workout at all but yet I leave all sweaty. The more you go to the same classes the more you'll pick up the routine and will get to lose more and more calories.

I love Zumba and I agree about the instructors. I go on Thursdays, but I do another class before. I can keep it up, but only because I really love Zumba. As someone said, it is mainly cardio and you can do it as intense as you want. I do another classes to add strength, but maybe you can add some weight lifting or planks.

I love the Zumba classes at Lucille Roberts. I go to Bay Shore. I think they work. I leave there sweaty and feeling good. The Saturday morning one is Insane.
Though I wish the classes weren't so packed all the time. If they had more of them available, it would be better. I tend to enjoy it more when I have a little room. There is a Friday 10:15 class there that isn't as intense but so much fun. Not packed and not hard to follow either.

Anyone in the Patchogue area who takes Zumba there is a Zumba glow class at 7:30pm at mr. d's ultimate fitness. All black lights and uplights. It's only 5 bucks for walks in.

Does Zumba work?
I think no matter what you do, if eat clean 95% of the time it will "work". All depends on what you want to do? Loose body fat, tone, increase work capacity? It's important to know that before starting an exercise program.
