Did you find your DC had to pee frequently? DD2 is 23 months and fully trained, but she pees like every 30 minutes. She hasn't had an accident since day 3 (and it has been almost 2 weeks) - not even a little in her underwear. But every 30-60 minutes seems too frequent to me. She isn't getting any reward or praise anymore, so I don't that she is looking for that. I think she may not be fully emptying, and that is why it is so frequent. Would you call the doctor? Thanks!

Those who potty trained young...

My DS would go all the time in the beginning. He was still learning the sensation and he was so afraid to have an accident. There were times when he was definitely not emptying. I would go in the bathroom with him and tell him to make sure he got it all out and sure enough a bunch more would come out.

She isn't complaining about pain, but I guess it is possible.

Ok, thanks. That is what I figured, but I trained DD1 young too (at 25 months) and I don't remember her going as frequently.

2 weeks is still early into the training.
We stayed at home 1.5 weeks into the training to solidify the training & get used to the frequency.

My kids "regulated" after about a month.

My dd trained early and the first month she peed pretty frequently. After a while she just learned to hold it for long stretches.

Re: Those who potty trained young...

those that trained young- how did it go with pooping on the potty? I tried and sort of potty trained my almost 2 year old. Peeing was great..no issues. But as soon as she had to poop she was holding it in and not going on the potty then crying and it was a mess. I ended up putting her back in diapers bc she was so upset meanwhile the first 3 days were completely fine. Just wondering if anyone had similar issues and how they got over that hump

DD1 was trained at 25 months months and no poop issues.

DD2 we trained at 23 months and first few days no problem with poop, then we had a hard week, and now she is fine. She pooped in her underwear a few times and was upset, but I refused to put a diaper on her.
