Planning a day trip to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods
My hubby and I would like to plan a day trip to one or the other. We'd leave early and leave late to make the most of the day. I'm looking for any advice about what we should definitely plan on fitting into the day. Anyone do this before or have some suggestions? TIA

I like Mohegan Sun better Especially for a day trip because Foxwood's is a bit spread out.
With Mohegan you have a nice shopping arcade, restaurant arcade etc- all in one place The casinos are on either end.
It's literally like a small shopping mall.
The restaurants and bars are also very very good there. Tons of variety

I prefer Foxwoods personally. I found that Mohegan had more of an older crowd (like 70s and up), but either one is a good choice.. I would stop in Mystic, CT and walk through Olde Mystick Village through the shops and have lunch, then head to the casino!

Me too! I love Olde Mistik Village....especially the lobster rolls at Ten Clams.
TBH, though, I usually stay overnight and I find Foxwoods more reasonably priced so I think that's why I'm partial. For a day trip I don't think you can go wrong either way!
