FIOS Tech broke my crystal platter - can anyone help me find a new one??
Yesterday I had Verizon FIOS come to install cable, internet, and phone in my new condo. I moved in on Monday. Anyway, the tech came and he was working in his little area so while he was working I decided to kill time by unpacking some of my china cabinet items. This was on the other side of the room from him.
At one point, he went to pass me to go back out to his truck and kind of stalked by and knocked into me and the table that I was using to set everything out and put each piece away in the cabinet little by little. When he barreled through his tool-belt clunked into my table and chair, and it hit one of four wine glasses causing a domino effect. These particular glasses were just everyday glasses from BB&B thank God - they were not my Waterford stemware. So they fall, smash, and break and one of them fell INTO a bowl of mine, sheering it in half instantly. I was heartbroken. This bowl, from Tiffany & Co., is probably my favorite piece that I own. I purchased it back in 2006 and they no longer make it. I was so upset I literally almost cried.
I searched EBAY and online and could not find it. I put in a request via Replacements.com and they are "searching". I figured I would ask on here. It retailed for $325 from Tiffany & Co. It was from the CLOVER COLLECTION. Here's a pic of it smashed It is 14'' in diameter...
A Verizon supervisor called me and they are putting in a claim to their insurance carrier and will cut me a check, which will take thirty days, for the original value of it ($325). Sadly, it's not even so much about the money at this point as it is about the fact that I cannot just go to the store and buy a new one because it is no longer being made.
HELP if you can

Can you contact Tiffany directly and see if they have anything in a warehouse somewhere? You never know. It doesn't hurt to reach out.
Sorry...that really stinks. Glad Verizon is paying for it.

It is a request for, that you are looking for this item. While they don't have it in stock, if they come across it in their inventory they will let you know it is available for purchase. I would still look independently, and call Tiffany's.
