dog boarding recommendations
Does anyone have a good recommendation for boarding a dog somewhere in Eastern Nassau/Western Suffolk? We have a small shitzu mix and she's never been boarded before. She's also a bit timid around other dogs, so places that pay special attention to each pup are what we are looking for. Thanks in advance.

dog boarding recommendations
The two times we boarded our dog we used PetSmart. We used the one in Lake Grove so I do not know about any of the others. I liked it they had group or independent play time we could pay for and two different types of cages. They also have people stay the night. Both times we did it he came home happy and we had no problems.

Re: dog boarding recommendations
Thanks for the info! I know someone else who recommended them too, but I've seen mixed reviews online so I wasn't sure. Thanks again for the tip! ??

I second K9 Clubhouse in West Babylon. They are great and you can pick up and drop off on Sunday.

Re: dog boarding recommendations
I don't have a recommendation. But have you considered a dog sitter?
Do a search on here. I believe one of the posters on here is one.
I've done it in the past. But I'm in NYC.

Re: dog boarding recommendations
I've come on to ask the same thing.
Very elderly, blind pug, so I prefer someone who will come to my house.
I also am looking moreso for a legitimate business so I know they are going to be reliable...where I can sign a contract and meet them in advance

Thanks for all the feedback. We are probably just going to leave her with a friend this time since it'll be several nights, but in the future I will definitely look into those options. Thanks again!
