Who prescribes AFO?
Who prescribed your Child's AFOS?
My son needs new ones. We have always went thru EI between the PT & the orthotist. We got a prescription from pediatrician but we told them what to say.
My son needs new pair. Monday going to orthopedic (Gaffney) He never believed in them. I am worried he will say not to use them anymore. My son walks so much better with them on. I am worried. I may have to schedule an appt for the Neuro but just feel she doesn't really know whats going on with the feet.
Suggestions???????

We use Dr Semel from St Charles. She is absolutely awesome. She is a physiatrist (Rehab Medicine). She prescribed my daughters AFOs and monitors her progress.

Thank you for responding Iluvmynutty.
Gaffney advised us to stop using although i am against it, will see how it goes. We have our appt to go to CHOP in July so we will see....maybe get new braces then.
