EDITED - Are there Pregnancy Expos or events in Long Island for FTM's?
Since this is my first, I just want to make sure I'm getting to have all the fun experiences that are offered for first time mom's. Anyone know of any cute events in Long island (preferably Nassau but doesn't have to be...)?
ETA: Anyone going to this?

Are there Pregnancy Expos or events in Long Island for FTM's?
I HIGHLY recommend going to the Big City Mom's Baby Shower in April. It's in NYC, though. But you will leave with soooo much free stuff. It was a lot of fun.
Actaully, I just looked on their site and doesn't look like they have a Spring event on the schedule. They use to do it every Fall and Spring. Maybe it's just the Fall now.
Anyway, there is a similar event next week at Babies R Us in Union Square.

I *might* go to it because I need to come into the city next Tuesday anyway. I just need to get my hubby on board hahaha.
The 'raffle' ticket they give out usually entitles you to a free giveaway. And from what I hear and have experienced Big City Mom's typically gives out really good stuff.

Yeah I have heard the same about Big City Mom's and this is one of their events. I'll keep you all posted if I decide to go - it promises that there are a lot of giveaways but not sure what sorts of stuff! And ditto about getting my hubby on board!

Wow looks like fun! Are there any going on in Long Island or even in Queens? I'm too lazy to schlep all the way to the city lol.
To those that have been before, what kind of stuff do they give away? Ticket prices seem kinda high (but I guess if they give away high-ticket items it's worth it??)

At BCM in NYC we got a 4 moms breeze playard, Britax Affinity stroller, Britax Be Safe 35, and lille baby carrier. Also a huge gift bag filled with bottles, bibs, diapers, swaddles, samples, blankets, pacifiers, wipes, wipe warmer, and a million other things. Then lots of samples, coupons and giveaways from the individual vendors. A lot of vendors had their own raffles, we didn't win anything though, actually we won a case of diapers, but no big ticket items. It was definitely worth it. But I did notice the ticket increased in price.... We had the couples ultimate VIP and it definitely wasnt $500. I want to say it was 3 something in the Fall.

The LI one looks more like a seminar. It would be good if it was earlier in my pregnancy but I'll be halfway thru it by then!
Has anyone ever attended the LI one?

The one that was cancelled was like $80+ for the couple with dinner and the new one is like $100's of dollars (like $400!) Is this maybe a different event? It seems like a bigger version of what it was but I thought it wsa just really rescheduled!
