I'm not on LI so I cant suggest places to do this, but could you do Kayaking on a lake somewhere and have sandwiches, drinks, salads catered under a small tent? I recently did this here in Rockland and it was an AWESOME time!

Re: corporate outings ... need suggestions
We did an outing at Chelsea Piers and it was a blast. We did rock climbing, played beach volleyball, sumo wrestling and a few other games. Felt like kids again... well, until we left and all hit the bars after. LOL

Sounds like my kind of outing.
I hate these corporate outings we are forced to attend. I have one on Friday - its an all day thing and they make you feel like they are going all out for you, when really it is so boring.
Give me the day off - THAT I would appreciate!

Re: corporate outings ... need suggestions
We are doing a corporate outing in July at the Sands Atlantic Beach, we used to have it on a saturday at wantagh park, fully catered, Open Bar, DJ, tables chairs and tent and a big slide and icecream truck for the kids but attendance 2 years in a row was extremely low with a lot of no shows. So this year we changed it to a Friday from 4-8pm and anyone attending can leave at 2:30 from work to go home and get ready and be there by 4pm. If they choose to come they will be paid til 5pm. Its an optional event so anyone who chooses not to come will have to work til 5pm.

My Husbands job had a party at Chocolate Works. They painted chocolate, made choclpate etc and were allowed to bring in their own food and alcohol.

Wall climbing, but a few years ago, Adventure land was closed for our use for the day and it was fun.
Bumper cars were the best, we got the opportunity to ram in to people we dislike in the office lol
