Had my D&C today
Had my D&C today at Plainview Hospital. It was an emotional day, but I am glad it is over. EVERYONE at the hospital was so nice and supportive which made the process easier. I have pressure in my uterus with a little cramping and had a little bleeding after which is now more spotting. I was told we can start TTC again when I get my period because it means my body is ready.
I woke up yesterday with this peaceful feeling. It was the same feeling I had the month before I got pregnant with this baby. I really hope I am right. I just hope the next time I carry to full term instead of finding out at 12 weeks it isn't happening.
On the positive side of this experience, at least I know I can get pregnant again. I had another M/C at 5.5 weeks after 3 months of trying, and then nothing since then until this one. In total it's been 18 months TTC for our 2nd. With my DD it was so easy, right away, no complications, a dream.

Im so sorry. I have no idea b/c i've never been through this but struggling with # 2 so I feel you.

I'm so sorry, I have had 2 miscarriages in the past year while trying for #2 and I have felt many of the same things you are feeling. I'm glad you had as good an experience as possible at the hospital, you've certainly been through enough already. Sending you lots of prayers and hugs!

I've had multiple losses and D&C's and it's so hard going through it. You will be okay and you have a great attitude. Hang in there

First I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby at 8 weeks (in March) and it was the most horrible thing I have dealt with.
I just want to prepare you that you may not be able to try immediately after your next period. I was told to wait a full cycle and since my first period came when I still had the HCG hormone in me it wasn't technically a "period". It SUCKS!!!! But give your body time to heal.
Also, since you have now had 2 losses have you had the Multiple Miscarriage Blood Panel done? I only had one loss but had it done since after my D&C the tissue analysis showed no issue or reason for the miscarriage.

Thank you for the information! I was seeing a RE up until 8 weeks pregnant. I have been tested and was diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. After this loss, they said if I have 1 more (it would be 3), then the would do the miscarriage testing. I am not sure what they test for, I haven't looked into anything yet. I did have the tissue sent for genetic testing and should get the results in a couple of weeks.
I am not going to do any further testing at this point because the month I finally got pregnant was the month I gave up and scheduled an IVF appointment. We also changed one other thing and DTD every day the week of ovulation until my cervix closed. Could it have been one of those things? I am not sure to be honest, but I do think stress played a huge role in me not getting pregnant.
With the first M/C it happened at 5.5 weeks. It was the 3rd month trying. Then nothing for a year. With my DD we got pregnant on the 3rd month trying. With both I had no stress. After the M/C I started freaking, then the month with the IVF consult I finally let go and it happened.
Soooo I just want to give it a couple months of going with the flow to see how things go. The doctors told me when I get my first period we can start TTC that month. I am going to roll with it. I have done a lot of reading on this and a lot of women get pregnant within a couple months of having a D&C. I know not all women do, but since I know I can get pregnant again, I am going to trust my instinct to just start again.
I got my numbers back and the day of the D&C they were 4008, 4 days later they were 193. I know they can get stuck, but I am praying the Citotec got everything out and I will get a period in 3 weeks.
