Anniversary Dinner
DH and my 5th anniversary is Friday, so I'm looking for recommendations for a nice place to go. I'm getting sick of our usual places (Melting Pot, Mac's Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris). It's supposed to be nice out Friday night, so maybe some place we can eat outside. We're in Massapequa so really anywhere from Mid-Nassau to Mid-Suffolk is good for us.

Prime in Huntington
We went to Union Prime steak and sushi in great neck for our anniversary last week. It is where Burton and Doyle was. It was amazing!

Not outside but I love Grillfire in Merrick and Salumi & Hudson's Mill in Massapequa. Also have heard good things about Smuggler Jack's (outdoor seating) & Anchor down in Merrick. I also love Fat Fish in Bayshore.

We just went to George Martin Strip Steak in Great River for our anniversary and really enjoyed it.

I LOVE eating at Monsoon in Babylon.
The sushi rolls are to die for and all the food (Asian fusion) is just great.
Yummy drinks too and a really pretty atmosphere

Agreed. Also, Tellers is a great steak house with nice ambiance, if you don't want to trek to the city.
Prime is hit or miss IMO, and I think Blackstone is way over priced for the food and service.
I also LOVE Salumi in Massapequa, and if you're into that type of thing, Novita in Garden City is nice too (also Waterzooi has amazing food, but REALLY loud in there)

we went to Hush in Farmigndale for our anniversary. Tiny so a reservation is a must.
Other places we go for occassions
- Aji - in Bayshore for Sushi
- Tula Kitchen - Bayshore
- Hudson Mill - Massapequa
- Trento - Italian , Farmingdale
- Besito - Mexican Huntington
- Swallow - Huntington
- Blackstone - Melville
We have gone to Prime but IMO the food is terrible and the people there are not nice to say the least.
