First spray tan tomorrow
Well, first in a super long time.
They just said to exfoliate.
I am having a day of beauty tomorrow that also includes full highlights and mani/pedi. Can I get a spray tan after getting my hair and nails done?
Also, I shaved my legs yesterday, should I do again tomorrow? Lastly, they said not shower for at least 20 hours after....ewww.
Help!

Re: First spray tan tomorrow
OK so tonight you should shower and exfoliate and shave your legs. Do it tonight, not tomorrow.
My spray tan girl says I can rinse off after 12 hours- just water
Then soap and water after about 20-24 hours. Just don't rub too hard with the washcloth or soap.
(And on that first shower after 12 hours, you can soap your "parts" if you know what I mean, just not your body!)
And yes you can get a spray tan after getting your hair and nails done for sure. They will likely put your hair up in a shower cap type thing.
My spray tan girl says no deodorant that day and definitely no make up
Enjoy!

First spray tan tomorrow
You would need to get the tan after your nails.....the water from the pedicure basin would ruin the tan.
20 hours is kind of long, I usually wait 6. But every formula is different so if they say 20 I would listen.
Have fun!!!

First spray tan tomorrow
And I seem to remember them saying to only use certain types of soap when you do eventually shower - like I think Dove was not good for some reason

Re: First spray tan tomorrow
I just went through this. The mistake I made was not getting my wax BEFORE the spray tan. I didn't realize that it would rip the tanning right off -- even like a week or so later.
So, yes wax and shave and alllllll that right before you get sprayed. Also, your hair will be in a plastic kind of hair net thing so the hair should be fine. And the mani/pedi should be OK too. I had just had mine done before I was sprayed and it was totally fine.
Make sure you moisturize afterwards -- once you are allowed to shower again. I showered right before and then waited the 20 hours and then showered again and used a good moisturizer. My spray tan lady recommended that. Keeps the tan looking nice.

They told me that anything was OK as long as it didn't have beads or exfoliating or anything like that IN the soap.

I had gone to Beach Bum and just checked their website for aftercare instructions
Beach Bum sunless tanning tips
It says not to use Dove, but doesn't say why. It also sounds like each place it different, I guess depending on what they use.

Totally.
I have had a spray tan twice and got two totally different "do this" and "don't do that" lectures LOL!
