Kitchen cabinets/labor

Hi,
We're in the process of getting the ball rolling for kitchen renovation. We have a small kitchen and were quoted about 9k for cabinets. Just wondering what people paid for their cabinets and the labor of the kitchen.

Also where did you get cabinets from? Any recs
We are total newbies so any help is greatly appreciated.

It really depends on the quality you want.
I went to Kabinet King in Queens Village first with my measurements and they gave me a layout.
I initially was looking for stock cabinets (off the shelf at Depot or Lowes or Cabinets2Go)
I ended up going for a step above that. I used in Today's Home Decor in Ozone Park. We installed ourselves so I can't give a prince on labor.
