How is Home Depot's return policy?
I want to return a light fixture that I bought. I opened the box, installed it & saw that it gave off terrible light. I carefully placed everything back in the box. Do you think HD will take it back?

How is Home Depot's return policy?
They are really good about taking things back. If you paid by credit card (any one) you don't even need a receipt - they will just look it up and credit back your card

How is Home Depot's return policy?
They are super easy to return with. Even if you don't have a receipt, you just need a DL, though they will only give you store credit (unless you paid by credit card like mentioned above).

They are really great about returns. Don't feel guilty! Things look way different in the store than they do at home... there is no way to know until you try it. They won't give you a problem at all and I'm sure they'll be happy you even re-boxed it. I've seen people on the return line with the item just stuffed in the box, hanging out all over the sides and whatnot. They don't have any shame in their game, so neither should you! lol!

I brought back a used air conditioner--it just didn't get the room very cold at all. They had ZERO issues.

How is Home Depot's return policy?
I hate buying things in store at Depot because to me it seems the majority of their items are open box. If I want to make sure it's a closed box, I order online.
Point of my story - they'll take anything back.
