One thing I won't miss...
after this baby is born, is the constant acid reflux/heartburn! I take 2 zantac a day (per my doctor) and it still lingers on... 26 days to go...
Sorry just had to vent!

I hear you. I'm taking 2 a day also in conjunction with Tums. It is brutal. If the level of heartburn is an indicator of how hairy this baby is, I can forget about the fancy newborn photographer and just alert National Geographic to send one of their photographers for the cover photo of the newest baby gorilla.

I mean my son had a full head of hair so I'm expecting this one to have a lot of hair as well, we will see!

Re: One thing I won't miss...
I remember having it awful with #1 in the 3rd trimester!! I'm just getting into my 2nd trimester now with #2 and definitely do not look forward to that again in my future. The only thing that helped me was drinking cold water, although I know people usually say room temperature water is supposed to be better (or milk). It sucks.

I had the WORST heartburn with dd. We thought she would be born with a full head of hair because I had it ALL the time and it was sooo bad. She was born fully bald. Didn't start growing hair until almost a year!!

The heartburn I have doesn't even compare to the sciatica and pelvic pain. I was crying in bed last night from being in so much pain.

Ughhh I get such horrible heartburn too and nothing helps! I take Zantac but it just takes the edge off. I'm so looking forward to not having the heartburn anymore! For all you btdt moms, is it instantly after giving birth that you get rid of the heartburn or does it take a few weeks to feel back to normal as far as the acid reflux goes?? I can't take it anymore lol!

In the 3rd trimester with DD1, I was popping tums every night around 3am. I could tell what time it was by when the heartburn would hit. In the 9 months between pregnancies, I didn't have it once so for me, it was pretty immediate.

I never had heartburn before my last pregnancy. It got so bad that I had to sleep sitting up the last few weeks but it went away as soon as I had DD, thankfully.

It stopped immediately after I gave birth with DS.
And I'm hoping the same will happen with my SI joint pain. My hip/butt area can hurt so bad if I'm on my feet too much. The other day, I literally had to crawl up my stairs to bed. I could have cried. The only thing that helps me with that is rest and the prenatal massage was really helpful too.
