Supportive Nursing Bras...is there such a thing?
I bought a few nursing bras at Target before I had my baby and they are not supportive. Anyone have a nursing bra that they would recommend?

I feel your pain. I have huge boobs right now, like larger than F (the size, not the curse word LOL)
And I found that because they don't recommend having underwire when you're nursing, a lot of the bras aren't supportive. I bought these and really like them though compared to other ones which were even more flimsy...

Supportive Nursing Bras...is there such a thing?
I've heard good things about bravado nursing bras but the biggest size didn't fit my boobs so I couldn't tell you if they're supportive or not.

Supportive Nursing Bras...is there such a thing?
You can wear underwire nursing bras- it is really important to wear a supportive bra-I highly recommend getting a professional bra fitting. I like the Anita nursing bras and the elomi nursing bras. I had limited options due to my size- I have a large cup and a 32 band size.

Just because some of the metal in the wire can get certain metallic chemicals etc into the breast milk and it's hard to tell good quality underwire-ing from the bad. Nothing to stress over per say but I didn't have any nursing bras so figured I would just get the ones without.

Love the Anita nursing bras. They're so comfortable and super supportive. The ones i use have underwire and I have had no issues through three pregnancies and nursing soon to be 3 kids.

I got the bravado ones and they are great! I went from a small B to a medium D and they worked just fine. They are the most comfortable bras I've ever worn!

the bravado nursing bras are good and I actually got a few really good ones at destination maternity that were similar to bravado but cheaper. I would not wear underwire as the pressure from the wiring can cause clog ducts. Not fun!

That's why I said that it "can" doesn't mean it will but after a horrendous clog and mastitis it wasn't something I was willing to risk for an underwire bra when i was perfectly happy in the other ones. I had a horrible time with oversupply--couldnt sleep on my side/belly or I would clog so this wasn't something I was willing to risk--and my bras all fit fine.

I'll be honest these days I nurse in regular bras.. Went back to regular bras when my son was around 1 since I felt like my nursing ones felt frumpy. He's almost 2 now. Ultimately you get into a groove and figure out what works :) I had a couple clogged ducts even with wireless, a lot can contribute to a clog, not just a bra.

Exactly..my sister had this happen too (clog and mastitis) and was in such pain that if it can be even one more way to possibly prevent it I am all for it. Up to you!

Exactly this - I love the Elomi ones the most and get them from bare necessities.com - I've been wearing ones w/ underwire for the last 10 months and haven't had any issues and have gotten great support from them.
