Toe Kick heating
Anyone have toe kicks recently put in? We are deciding on whether to rip up all of our flooring to do radiant heat which would be $$$, or install toe kicks on a different zone for a dining room & kitchen.
Want to know if the toe kicks heat enough. I have heard the newer ones are not as loud and are more efficient than what they used to use.
Thanks!

The price difference is a lot because we would have to rip up all of our hardwood in our dining room, kitchen, and formal living room. Then add the radiant heat and all new flooring. It is a lot of square footage. You can only use a certain type of wood floor, or tile. I would get the wood looking tile which can be expensive.
We will do it if the toe kicks don't provide much heat, because heating is more important, but if we can save thousands and put that money elsewhere, then we rather do that lol

Re: Toe Kick heating
We have it in 2 of our bathrooms. The spaces are small and contained but it is definitely enough heat. I will say that it is noisier than I would like.

Toe Kick heating
We have one in my kitchen and I rarely use. It does give off a lot of heat very fast though.

Re: Toe Kick heating
We don't have it yet but we will be doing this soon in our kitchen. We're taking down a wall and losing the baseboard heat. We are told that the toe kick heaters work very well, hoping that's true.

Re: Toe Kick heating
I removed the baseboard heaters in both of my bathrooms and put toe kicks in. As others have said, they heat well, but I dislike the noise...
Worth it to not have the baseboards in my bathroom though.
