Looking for a beach type of getaway with kids
So I know most places are probably booked but we just figured out that we have a little extra money to take a quick getaway with the kids.
What places would you suggest that we might have a chance to book for a few days. We are looking To go sometime in the last two weeks of August. Don't want to drive more than 5 hours.

I know its further then 5 hours but we love Virginia Beach we stay on the beach but you also have the option of driving to Busch Gardens and the water park.

definitely Ocean City, NJ!! its a "dry" town (so no bars on the island... but there are some right outside town, so you can bring some in so you don't miss that necessary glass of wine after the kids go to bed! HAHA) The no bars thing really helps keep it very family friendly, and keeps a lot of the shady "Jersey Shore" people out LOL
Theres a great boardwalk with games and rides and great boardwalk food LOL (Johnson's popcorn, Mack and Manco's Pizza!!) Its just a nice family beach area

Love!!! Not sure about hotels though. Family treated us to a house rental that I know costs half my yearly salary.
