I need a really good book or a series to read. I read a bunch of really good ones in a row now i am floundering and keep reading not great books. Any recommendations. I prefer Historical fiction , romance , and YA but I'll try any kind of book that I can't put down. Any suggestions.

I agree with Colleen Hoover, I recommend her books to everyone..they're all so good! I also love all of Emily Giffin's books.

Some other favorites:
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens
How To Kill A Rock Star by Tiffanie Debartolo
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

how to kill a rock star and the edge of never are the only ones I haven't read. I've read every collen hoover and emily griffen. I want something a little deeper. more like the bronze horseman series.

Red Rising!!! I recommend this book to every person ever- especially if you liked Hunger Games or Ender's Game. It's like a mix of the two, but crazier and I loved it. It's a YA trilogy, though it doesn't feel YA. The second book is already out, Golden Son, but the third doesn't come out til next January.

I also really enjoyed Ready Player One.

If you're in for a thriller, try Pines by Blake Crouch. Another trilogy, very fast paced. It's the book the show Wayward Pines on Fox is based on.

Some other goodies:

The Girl on the Train
Horns by Joe Hill- surprisingly good! So was the movie.
I'm sure you've already read everything Outlander, but I'm going to throw it out there just in case.

I hate getting into a book slump. Chat Icon Hopefully one of these will pull you out!

ETA: I'm reading a Discovery of Witches right now and so far really enjoying it!

I read the first Outlander but it took me soooo long, I felt like there were a lot of slow parts. I think I am just going to wait for the rest of the tv shows for this one. I didn't love the discovery of witches either. Some parts were interesting but I found it kind of slow too. :/

It took me a long time to get through all the Outlander books, too. It was equal parts enjoyable and frustrating. I always say Diana Gabaldon LOVES her characters SO SO much that she feels the need to write about every time they use the chamber pot. Chat Icon So I totally get that. I'm getting further into Discovery of Witches and I see what you mean, but I'm still delighted because it's like Twilight for adults. Chat Icon And I love it.

I still say Red Rising. I think it may be my favorite book of all time- at least top 5. Again, a little slow to start, but once it gets going it doesn't stop. I've made everyone read it from my BFF to my father in law.
