Decorating
I'm getting married in a month yayyyy. So, I'm in the process of getting our home furnished and decorated. I need to get our master bedroom done ASAP. We just bought furniture, I bought some decor and next week we will buy dark wood blinds and curtains. I noticed next to my dresser in the corner and in front of the window is a good amount of space.
What can I put there? I was thinking a tufted fabric accent chair in the corner and a matching tufted fabric bench with storage in front of the window. Even though my fiancé hates tufted furniture because it reminds him of his grandmother's furniture from the 1920's. Hahha Will the bench take away from the formal floor length curtains behind it? The flat benches without storage look nicer but I don't want to fill the top with crap. What about a chaise? Helppppp me I have no idea how to decorate. Image Attachment(s):

Pictures of the room. Or should I just keep the space open and let it be airy? Image Attachment(s):

Re: Decorating
I like the storage bench. 2 uses and who can't use more storage? Plus it will deter you from just throwing things on top of it (which is what I would do).

That's a beautiful window. I would do a bench under the window and then maybe a floor vase with tall stems to fill in the corner.

Re: Decorating
Congratulations on your soon to be wedding and new home! You have a great space to work with!
I would choose one location or the other. Having something tufted both in the corner and under the window could be too much or redundant. Your bedroom should be soothing and functional, so pick the spot that will be the easiest to access and most useful to you both. I'm leaning towards the bench under the window, provided that you still have enough space to walk/pass comfortably. I love the idea of the chaise, but it might easily become a catchall for clutter and be a bit too deep for passing. If you keep it simple and somewhat neutral it shouldn't take away from the drapes you'll install. You may even want to add a pillow or two that complements them.
In the empty corner, you might a consider a floor lamp, a large plant (like a fiddle leaf fig), or even a small chair that is not tufted but complements the other fabrics or finishes in the room. I would wait until your drapes are hung though. You may find that you don't need anything if they make enough of an impact.
Good luck and share pictures of what you decide! If you have other questions, don't hesitate to reach out/email me.
