When did you start to feel excited?
I'm 7w3d and knock on wood everything is progressing really well. Went for a pregnancy confirmation sono at 6w4d and we saw the heartbeat. We went yesterday to get a more comprehensive sono and everything was right on track. This is my first pregnancy so I'm just worried that something will go wrong and I can't bring myself to become excited. I know the worry will never go away but when did you start to feel less worried and more excited?

When did you start to feel excited?
Probably when I first started to feel movement did I start to worry less. Also after every sono when they would say everything looked good.

When did you start to feel excited?
I'm 11w1d also with my first and I started feeling less worried when I saw baby moving around during my ultrasound at 10w. I haven't had any morning sickness so that worried me a ton, but I stopped googling all the terrible things that could happen (the internet is EVIL) and just started reassuring myself that my body knows what it's doing and everything will be just fine.

I have very minimal morning sickness too and that has also worried me a ton but I'm coming to learn that it's completely normal to not have any.

Yup! With my first, I was sick a lot. With this one, pretty much never. Symptoms or lack thereof don't mean anything.

Re: When did you start to feel excited?
I dealt with miscarriages before each of my pregnancies (DD is 4 and I'm 15wks pregnant with #2) so it gets VERY hard to be full-blown excited and not worried after experiencing that. I will say though that with each I definitely got less scared once I reached 2nd trimester because that's when the chance of a miscarriage drops to something like 1%. Also all of my losses took place before 6wks, so once I had sonos and reached beyond that 'danger zone', I was a happy camper. Though when I actually felt ready to PLAN was more when I started feeling movements (with #1 it was at 16wks with #2 it was closer to 12wks) because that's when it became real.
Truthfully though, with every pregnancy I was excited the MINUTE I had a positive pregnancy test. All that changed for me was that my excitement became more free, and less guarded.

After my genetics testing since I am over 35. After hearing everything was ok. I still worry though and won't stop till my baby is in my arms!!!

Agreed - a mix of at 12wks when chance of miscarriage goes down, and at 12 weeks I also did the Harmony blood test and found out there were no chromosomal abnormalities, and then even MORE excited at my Level II sonogram which I did at 19 weeks, then even more around 23 weeks when I started feeling more movement, and then later on when movements got bigger and bigger. Just try to focus on the next milestones. After 24 weeks you hit your first vitality milestone which means if the baby is born it has any chance of survival so that's always a nice place to hit, as well.

Re: When did you start to feel excited?
When the 12 week scan showed everything was good and we saw a nice closeup of baby. But every week I get a little more excited than the next. I am 22 weeks and 4 days now and there is still room for more excitement, lol.

Oh yes exactly. I've been counting down to 24 weeks in my head all this time!

Re: When did you start to feel excited?
I did not get excited until maybe 32 weeks when it hit me that I was having a baby!!! LOL! I had a complete surprise pregnancy after years of infertility and 2 failed IVFs so I had a very difficult time attaching to the pregnancy and feeling safe enough to look ahead. It's a very personal experience and I promise you, one day it will hit you and you will be different.
